I got turned on to the genre of Acoustic Music at the age of 14 with a trip
to the Newport Folk Festival in 1967. I got to see Joni Mitchell, Buffy St
Marie, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Jim Kweskin and the Jug Band, The Staple
Singers and more. I was hooked! As a youngster, I always dreamed of
having my own radio show...and lo and behold, dreams do come true! I've
been doing radio for about 10 years now... before KKCR, I was a programmer
on KVNF out of Paonia, Colorado.
I am so grateful to be here on Kaua'i, and to have the opportunity to share
the music I love with listeners. I try to keep it fresh, featuring many of
the artists whose CD's have found their way to KKCR's "New" rack. I will
continue to expand my knowledge of contemporary acoustic music...
