PSAs are free, brief (25 seconds), and run for up to two weeks, subject to airtime availability. Priority is given to paid underwriting announcements.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-a8ghvy\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">Email PSA requests to <a href=\"mailto:uw@kkcr.org\">uw@kkcr.org<\/a> at least four weeks before the event.<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>\n<div class=\"css-146c3p1 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-37j5jr r-a023e6 r-rjixqe r-16dba41\" dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-a8ghvy\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">Events or services from 501(c)(3) nonprofits in our broadcast area.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"css-146c3p1 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-37j5jr r-a023e6 r-rjixqe r-16dba41\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-a8ghvy\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"><strong>Examples:<\/strong> concerts, cultural\/educational\/environmental\/civic\/health-related events, or fundraisers aligned with our community\u2019s interests.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"css-146c3p1 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-37j5jr r-a023e6 r-rjixqe r-16dba41\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-a8ghvy\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"><strong>Must avoid:<\/strong> controversial, commercial, political, or self-serving content; solicitations for funds\/volunteers; price details; or calls to action.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"css-146c3p1 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-37j5jr r-a023e6 r-rjixqe r-16dba41\" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-a8ghvy\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"><strong>Exclusions:<\/strong> routine meetings, commercial events, religious services (except concerts), membership-only events, or sales-focused events (e.g., auctions, bake sales).<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Organization\/Event Name:<\/strong> Clearly state the name of the non-profit organization or community event.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Description:<\/strong> Include a value-neutral description of the organization or event\u2019s purpose or activities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contact Information:<\/strong> May include contact details for further information, presented as straightforward information (e.g., &#8220;Website: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.example.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.example.com<\/a>&#8220;) without phrases that constitute calls to action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Relevant Details:<\/strong> Event dates, locations, and other pertinent information.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Non-promotional<\/strong> information about the organization or event.<\/li>\n<li><strong>KKCR Style:<\/strong> PSAs should be up to 25 seconds in length, voiced by our team in a neutral tone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Subjective Language:<\/strong> No superlatives or subjective descriptors like \u201cexcellent,\u201d \u201cfine,\u201d \u201cbest.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pricing Information:<\/strong> No mention of costs, discounts, or \u201cfree\u201d offers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Calls to Action\/Inducements\/Incentives:<\/strong> No phrases encouraging listeners to take specific actions, such as \u201cVisit us,\u201d \u201cCall now,\u201d or \u201cTry it.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Excessive Lists:<\/strong> Limit to necessary information to avoid a \u201cmenu\u201d of items.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Personal Pronouns:<\/strong> Avoid using \u201cyou,\u201d \u201cwe,\u201d \u201cour\u201d to maintain neutrality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Focus:<\/strong> PSAs should be from or about local, sustainable, and\/or culturally aligned community organizations or events and respond to community needs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prohibited Content:<\/strong> No political candidates, tobacco, firearms, or gambling-focused content.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Production:<\/strong> PSAs are recorded in-house by KKCR staff or trained volunteers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submission:<\/strong> PSAs must be submitted by or on behalf of non-profit organizations or community groups.
