Official Rules for KKCR Contests and Giveaways

HOW TO ENTER:  KKCR conducts prize giveaways at various times during its general fundraiser campaign periods, generally in April and November, and occasionally at other times during the year.  For the specific dates of each general fundraiser campaign period, email gm@kkcr.org. No purchase or contribution is necessary to enter any of the giveaways. Entries from those who do not make a purchase or contribution receive the same consideration as those who do. You can enter the giveaways by mail, phone, website, email, or in person.  All entries must be received by KKCR’s designated end of the fundraiser, which will be announced on air. All entries must include the individual’s first and last names, shipping address and email address or phone number.

You qualify to automatically be entered in all the prize giveaways for the current campaign, if you are:

• A sustaining member whose monetary contribution automatically renews each year.
• An early bird donor whose monetary contribution or pledge is received during  the current campaign period but prior to the beginning of on air/online live fundraising.
• A new donor, rejoining donor or renewing donor whose monetary contribution or pledge is received any time within the current campaign period.

An individual who does not wish to make a purchase or contribution can enter by contacting KKCR via website, mail, phone, email or in-person and request to be entered in the prize drawings for the current campaign period.

ELIGIBILITY: Anyone 18 years of age or older can enter the giveaways except employees of KKCR and their immediate family.  To comply with Canadian sweepstakes rules, if a Canadian is selected as a winner, the individual will be required to answer a basic skill question before the prize can be awarded.
From time to time KKCR may conduct campaign giveaways aimed at a specific group, such as new listeners or digital users or specific communities. Eligibility to enter any such giveaways will be clearly stated on air and/or online. In such cases, as with all KKCR giveaways, no purchase or donation will be required to enter or to win.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: Winners will be selected by random drawings managed by KKCR and notified within 72 hours of the contest deadline by email or phone.  If contact information is requested from winner and the winner does not respond by the deadline indicated by the notification, the prize may be released to another winner.

CHANCE OF WINNING:  Chance of winning depends upon the number of eligible entries received. Entry constitutes permission given to KKCR to use winner’s name and hometown without additional compensation. A list of the winners’ names will be kept on file at KKCR for 30 days and is available by emailing gm@kkcr.org. KKCR will not disclose to the public any entrant or winner address, phone number, or email contact information.

GENERAL: By participating in giveaways, participants agree to the official rules, and that KKCR and its employees will have no liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from their use of the prize or their participation in the giveaway.  KKCR reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value in the event an awarded prize becomes unavailable.  Winner may not exchange or assign prizes or redeem them for cash.  The prizes range in value, up to $500. Winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with claiming or using the prize.  KKCR disclaims all warranties, guarantees or representations express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, or merchantability of any prize.

RESTRICTIONS: One entry per person. Only one prize per person.  An entrant who wins any fundraiser prize giveaway will not be eligible for any additional giveaway prizes during the current fundraiser campaign. KKCR reserves the right to cancel any giveaway and not award any prize in the event that in its judgment unforeseen developments warrant cancellation.
