Soren is a true child of the island — he first came to Kaua'i in 1978 when his father practiced medicine in Kapa'a, attended Kilauea Elementary and Kapa'a High School, then headed to the mainland to study Computer and Electrical Engineering at Purdue University. He went on to earn his MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, and because he never stops riding the wave, he's currently pursuing his Master's in Computer Science online at Georgia Tech.
