Pohala Hou Fund Drive

With the rescission of funds from and closure of the Corporation of Public Broadcasting, Kauaʻi Community Radio has a yearly budget deficit of $83,000. The cost of doing business and radio in Hawaii is high. We diversify funding requests through foundation grants, giving campaigns and more. Listener donations still remain our largest source of solvency to remain on the airwaves and thriving. Thank you immensely for your support. Mahalo nui me ka haʻahaʻa.

Donor Advised Funds

DAF Direct makes it easier to support your favorite charities by giving directly from your donor-advised fund.

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a centralized charitable account. It allows charitably-inclined individual, families and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, publicly-traded stock and in some case, certain illiquid assets, to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program.

Donations of Stock

Want to give a gift of stock to KKCR? We have a Charles Schwab account!

Donating appreciated stock (held over one year) to a nonprofit avoids capital gains tax on the appreciation and allows a deduction for the full fair market value, typically up to 30% of your adjusted gross income. Transfer stock directly via your broker to the charity’s brokerage account to maximize tax efficiency.

Call or email the station office for more information, or call your broker for more details! 808-826-7774, gm@kkcr.org
