Gorgeous 28 inch Lei Hulu (Feather) lei made in the Wili Poepoe style. Purple and green colors, goose and peacock feathers. A beauty to wear placed on your apapale (hat) or display in your home. The term “wili” means “to wind or twist” and “poepoe” means, “round, rounded or circular.” The feather is turned upwards and is tied to a center which will ultimately wind its way down to create more of a full or fluffy lei.
This lei is handmade by Sistah Lei, the host of Thursday morning Hawaiian music shows Vintage and Vinyl of Hawaii and Kāhea Kauaʻi. She is a Hawaiian Kūpuna and skilled in her crafts.
